For beginners or painters who want to un-muddle their color and/or loosen up a tight technique, this class provides individual instruction and demonstration on the fundamentals of color, value, composition & technique. The class is unstructured in that student’s paint what they choose (except for the first exercise for newcomers) & at their own pace. The emphasis is on learning to see and mix color by consistent use of the primary and essential tool, the color wheel. Purchase of the studio work book “PAINT NAPLES: AND THE BASICS OF COLOR” by Ann Sullivan, available from the instructor at the first class is required (check or cash only $30).
