THIS IS AN OFFSITE CLASS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE AT NORTH COLLIER REGIONAL PARK.
In this class you will learn the unique process of how to paint on glass when viewing the image from the back side. This form of painting has been around since the 3rd century. It spread throughout different cultures from Africa, Europe and Asia and is known as verre églomisé in French or hinterglasmalerei in German. Through demonstrations and individual instruction, students will master the basics of back painting, and receive tips and techniques for approaching the subject matter as an inverse of how a painting on canvas is normally approached. Develop the skills necessary to create a beautiful piece of artwork using an unusual painting process.
